The Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science trains highly competitive computer science professionals, with the fundamental knowledge of Computer Science and the necessary specialization in cutting-edge Information Technology (IT), to be recognized nationally and internationally, with institutional identity, characterized by a solid interdisciplinary training, which allows them to successfully enter the labor market, being leaders of technological and industrial development of the state, the region and the country.

To train graduates in Computer Science with a high level of competence, specialized in cutting-edge Information Technologies, with solid knowledge, skills, aptitudes, attitudes and values, through the integration of the academic, practical and research component, and who also possess a reflective, critical, creative, entrepreneurial, innovative and leadership attitude, capable of working with multi- and interdisciplinary groups in the creation, design and application of advanced Information Technologies, with the ability to influence the production of goods and the provision of services, with the capacity to influence the production of goods and the provision of services, entrepreneurial, innovative, and leadership, capable of working with multi- and interdisciplinary groups in the creation, design and application of advanced information technologies, with the ability to influence the production of goods and services, committed to the social, technological and industrial development of the State and the country.

Curricular objectives

  • Identify the needs of the disciplinary areas, making use of requirements analysis and computational sciences to determine the type of solution.
  • Develop innovative solutions through the use of computational tools and techniques to streamline organizational processes.

 

  • Find a functional and synthesized solution that optimizes information processing and management.
  • Develop a graphical interface that allows easy handling of the computer systems, making the processes transparent to the user.  

 

  • Model and manage the interconnectivity and functionality of computer networks using security procedures and techniques to share information and computing resources.
  • Analyze the requirements of an organization for the implementation of possible communication technologies.

 

  • Design solutions that meet the needs of an organization, taking as a reference the existing network architectures, methodologies and technologies.
  • Evaluate the security of computer networks to maintain the integrity and security of information during communication processes.

 

  • Evaluate computer systems considering quality standards to guarantee their operation.
