MISSION, VISION AND OBJECTIVES


MISSION

The Nursing Education Program of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo trains nursing professionals according to the demands of globalization of health services, with a futuristic projection and human sense that allows it to respond to the demands of caring for the population and its environment, through a comprehensive training with academics who participate in a disciplinary and interdisciplinary quality to bring about changes in the health care of the individual, family, community or social group and thus national and international recognition.

VISION

By the year 2020 the educational program of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo is recognized as a leader in the formation of human resources in nursing, its professionals graduate with a comprehensive training, develop generic and specific competencies of the discipline that allow them to bring about changes in the care of the individual, family, community or social group in health or disease, with a comprehensive praxis, demonstrating independence and creativity in different scenarios of professional development, oriented to the maintenance of health, prevention and care during illness, as well as an integral praxis, family, community or social group in a situation of health or disease, with an integral praxis, demonstrating independence and creativity in the different scenarios of professional development, oriented to the maintenance of health, prevention and care during the disease, as well as rehabilitation in an equitable, efficient and quality manner. CURRICULAR OBJECTIVES

The Nursing Education Program has five curricular objectives, which express its educational purpose, distinguishing and identifying the profession, which are presented below:

  • To train nursing professionals capable of analyzing the knowledge and practice of nursing, through a solid scientific, ethical, humanistic and social responsibility training to provide services that contribute to the solution of health problems helping to meet the welfare demands of the population.
  • To develop a professional, critical, analytical and proactive identity in the context of the health professions through knowledge of the theoretical and philosophical foundations of the profession, in order to consolidate a disciplinary image in society.
  • Promote the care of the person in the different stages of life through the application of the knowledge of the basic, humanistic and disciplinary sciences, the methodology of the Nursing Care Process (PAE) and the use of the Taxonomies of the discipline with the purpose of favoring the knowledge of the Bachelor in Nursing nurse.
  • To develop in students the ability to participate in an interdisciplinary manner in the processes of planning, organization, management, control and evaluation of programs through the application of theoretical and methodological knowledge of the discipline, in order to carry out administrative and educational functions.
  • To train nursing graduates capable of developing, implementing and evaluating disciplinary training and health education programs, incorporating information and communication technology (ICT), as well as a second language, which will allow them to improve their inter- and multidisciplinary performance in a competent manner.

SCHOLARSHIPS


Types of Scholarships
The institution has a Scholarship and Academic Support Office, whose mission is to strengthen the integral formation of university students at the upper secondary and higher levels who face economic adversities, by granting economic support and/or in kind through internal and external scholarships that allow them to expand the opportunity to continue with their studies. The objective of this scholarship department is to contribute to the integral formation of university students at the middle and high school level, who face economic adversities, but have the ability and willingness to study, through the granting of financial support to expand the opportunity of access and permanence of students to continue their university studies in their corresponding educational level. In order to fulfill this mission and objectives in September 2014 the H. University Council entered into force the Scholarship Regulations with the aim of modernizing the scholarship system of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo. Said Scholarship Regulation aims to regulate the selection, granting, permanence, renewal, suspension and cancellation of scholarships granted and/or managed by the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo. In addition, the Directorate of Scholarships and Academic Support has administrative documents with the purpose of explaining and informing how the activities are carried out in the areas that make up the organizational structure of this Directorate.

  • Tuition remission scholarship: Aimed at regular students with a minimum grade point average of 8.
  • Language condonation scholarship: For those students who wish to strengthen their knowledge of a language.
  • Academic Merit Scholarship: Awarded in recognition of the students with the best average of their generation.
  • Maintenance scholarship: Aimed at students who have financial difficulties and are committed to continuing their studies.
  • Undergraduate National Mobility Scholarships: For those students with high academic performance who wish to carry out an academic stay in an educational institution other than their own, to complement and strengthen their studies.
  • Undergraduate international mobility scholarships: Aimed at students with high academic performance, who wish to carry out an academic stay abroad, to complement and strengthen their studies.
  • Training Grants: For students pursuing activities related to science and scientific research.
  • Excellence Scholarship: For those students who in the last school semester have obtained an average of 10.
  • In the case of new students, they may apply for this scholarship if they obtained an average of 10 in the last school year of high school.
  • Scholarship for excellence in contributing to your environment: Aimed at those students who in the last school period (semester) have obtained a minimum average of 8 and who are recognized by their neighbors through a civil association or educational institution for their excellence as a member generating change and development in their community.
  • Maintenance scholarship for children of military personnel: Aimed at the children of active or deceased members of the Mexican Armed Forces in the fight against organized crime, who are studying while pursuing their studies.
  • Scholarships for social service: Aimed at students who are in the last two years of their bachelor's degree and are enrolled in a social service program.
  • Scholarship: For students who have completed their studies and must complete a professional thesis, report, report, dissertation or essay.
  • Outreach scholarship: Aimed at students in their last two years of undergraduate studies who are enrolled in an outreach program recognized by their school through internships, internships or professional residencies.
  • Proyecta 100, 000: For those students who wish to pursue intensive English language studies in the United States of America.
  • Proyecta 10,000: For those students who wish to pursue intensive English language studies in Canada.
  • CITNOVA Grant: To participate in the "Research, Technological Development and Innovation Stays" program.

SOCIAL SERVICE


Within the study plan, Social Service and Professional Practices are incorporated as subjects, under the modality of hours of Supervised Professional Activities.

The duration of the social service, according to the UAEH regulations, will be no less than six months and no more than two years, and in no case should it be less than 480 hours.

The direction of Social Service and Professional Practices, establishes that these are an opportunity to develop skills and attitudes aimed at the student to achieve a competent professional performance. It is a guided and supervised exercise where the knowledge acquired during the formative process is put into practice. They allow the application of theories to real situations and problems that contribute to the student's professional training.
