In the Bachelor's Degree in Psychology you will acquire solid training and scientific tools so you can create new fields of psychology and improve people's quality of life. Profile

Entry Profile

If you are interested in studying a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, you should have a broad general knowledge in basic areas such as mathematics, Spanish and social sciences. In addition, you should possess skills such as the ability to analyze and synthesize, the willingness to work in a team and the ability to communicate effectively. Attitudes such as curiosity, empathy, responsibility and commitment to the welfare of society are also valued.

Profile of graduates

Upon graduation from the Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo:

You will learn to understand human behavior from different theoretical approaches, taking into account biological, psychological and social factors.
You will be able to evaluate and analyze biopsychosocial processes of individuals, groups and organizations, using diverse methods and techniques to assist in ethical problem solving.
You will develop skills to intervene in biopsychosocial processes, focusing on prevention, care and rehabilitation of mental health of individuals, groups and communities.
You will have the ability to design research projects and psychological measurement tools to study biopsychosocial processes, using different quantitative, qualitative or mixed methodologies, always under an ethical approach.

Success Stories

Dr. Jesús Cisneros Herrera

Originally from Mexico City, he received his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from UNAM, where he specialized in psychoanalytic psychotherapy for children. He also holds a Master's degree in Translation from El Colegio de México. From 2017 to date, he is a Full-Time Research Professor at ESAT, and has advised several papers by students of the Bachelor's Degree in Psychology that have been published in the scientific bulletins of ESAT and ICSA, or have been presented at the Garza Meeting of Young Researchers of the UAEH and the International Congress of Social Research of the ICSU-UAEH. His academic work earned him entry into the National System of Researchers in 2022.

Dr. Gelacio Guzmán Diaz

Originally from Xalapa-Enriquez, "La Atenas Veracruzana". He studied a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Master's Degree in Research in Psychology Applied to Education and Doctorate studies in Behavioral Science, all of them in the highest house of studies of the State of Veracruz, the Universidad Veracruzana (UV). Interbehavioral Psychologist with interests that revolve around the experimental analysis of behavior, intelligent and creative behavior and language as behavior.

He currently serves as Research Professor at the Escuela Superior Atotonilco de Tula (ESAT) of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH). Since joining ESAT in 2018, he has achieved for two consecutive periods the Desirable Profile (PRODEP) recognition granted by the Ministry of Public Education of the Federal Government and in 2022 he obtained recognition as a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) at the candidate level.

At this time, together with the ESAT research staff, it seeks the consolidation of the Research Group, focused on strengthening, promoting and guiding scientific research on psychology, both basic and applied, which contributes to the linkage of knowledge with the needs of the integral development of the students of the psychology program of the ESAT.

Itzel Campos Sánchez

Originally from Tlaxcoapan, Hidalgo, she is a student of the Educational Program of the Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the Escuela Superior Atotonilco de Tula. She is an outstanding high performance athlete.
