The Escuela Superior de Apan is located in the south of the State of Hidalgo in the region known as the plains of Apan. The municipality of Apan is known for being the cradle of the charrería and in the past, for the great amount of pulque (a fermented drink made from the honey water of the maguey) produced by the Haciendas of the Porfirian era in the region. Today it is the seat of large companies that continue to consider the area as strategic because of its access to the Arco Norte highway that connects the states of Querétaro, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala and Puebla.
We have 4 cutting-edge educational programs at the regional and national level, which are 1) Engineering in Cold Technology, 2) Economic and Financial Engineering, 3) Bioscience Engineering and 4) Nanotechnology Engineering. These programs are accredited and evaluated by the Interinstitutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CIEES). Currently, the student population is made up of more than 500 young people.
The Escuela Superior de Apan has laboratories equipped in the areas of Physical Chemical and Microbiological Analysis. It has a scanning electron microscope that employs the use of low temperatures for observation in its studies. The school has medical service, security, closed circuit system, parking and green areas.
As a great distinction in the quality of research and teaching, its academic staff has postgraduate levels registered in the National System of Researchers. 29 with doctorates and 16 of these in the SNI.
Our students have within the study plans with the strengthening of the English language that allows them to open doors in the global environment. The Self-Access Center and library adequately complement their studies during their stay at the School.
Through institutional management, support scholarships are provided to prevent students from dropping out of their studies, in addition to counseling, tutoring and, if necessary, psychological support programs.
The linkage is at the service of the community, especially students with the provision of social service and internships with agencies and companies in the region and the country. Also, the institutional program of educational mobility contemplates the possibility of requesting a stay in other national and international educational institutions with which the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo has an agreement, starting with 50% of the credits of the program.
The Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo has recently been distinguished with one more star in its international visibility process by QS Stars, placing it at the 801-1000 level of the world ranking. This important distinction places the UAEH among the best in the country and the world.
