LIBRARY


Library

The library's objective is to gather and disseminate information through books, periodicals and other documents organized according to pre-established systems and in printed and digital media, which serve to direct the individual and group activities of the student and academic community of the Actopan High School, thus becoming the space that favors self-education and enrichment of cultural capital.

Services offered by the library:

  • Reference collection: Consists of dictionaries, encyclopedias, collections.
  • General Collection:It has titles in open shelves, covering all areas of knowledge that support the educational activities of the UAEH.
  • Video Library:It has 125 titles of video films oriented to different topics such as motivation, self-esteem, drug addiction, biographies, which can be consulted in 2 individual modules.
  • Newspaper Library: It consists of periodical publications such as magazines and bulletins of various organizations such as the National Human Rights Commission, the Judiciary, the Law School, etc., as well as theses of various disciplines.
  • Computer room: It has 5 computers with access to the Digital Library.
  • Digital Library: The library of the Escuela Superior de Actopan has a permanently updated information service through data transmission networks, which offers the following access to online databases:
    • Diario Oficial de la Federación ( Complete texts since 1999, indexes from l917 to date, competitions, announcements, historical texts from 1973 to 1998 and official standards).
    • Wilson WEB (Humanities, business, computers, education, social sciences and sciences in general).
    • Mexican Juridical Compilation (Federal Legislation, State Legislation, Jurisprudence and Insulated Theses of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, Jurisprudence and Insulated Theses of the Federal Tax Court, Treaties on Criminal Matters, Legis-Contracts and Dictionary of Legal Terms Spanish - English - French).
    • Foreign Trade Journal (General Import Tax Law, General Export Tax Law, Tax Legislation and Complementary Laws, Decrees to avoid double taxation, jurisprudence of the Federal Tax Court, international treaties on customs matters).

As well as thirty-three databases that include all the areas of knowledge that our University has.

It also consists of a collection of online databases, repositories of digital material to support the curricular programs of schools and institutes, and repositories of courses taught.

The Library is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

SELF-LEARNING LANGUAGE CENTER


Self-Learning Language Center

The self-learning language center is a space where users, individually or in groups, use different audiovisual, digital and printed media, developed specifically for learning and developing skills in a foreign language such as English, through activities that facilitate oral and written expression, which is organized by levels to be more accessible to their search by promoting a culture of self-learning, which contributes to their integral development.

The areas that comprise it are:

  • Karaoke: Allows you to practice the language and develop skills at different levels through songs, whose lyrics can be seen on the screen at the same time you listen to the melody.
  • Megapantalla: In this area videos are projected in their different genres such as: drama, suspense, action etc., as well as in the levels corresponding to the language. Aimed at small groups of less than 10 people and a maximum of 30.
  • Reading room: Individual reading work in 36 positions, which has a wide variety of texts, such as books, magazines, novels and dictionaries in the different language levels for English language learning.
  • Audio: This area is mainly based on auditory improvement at different levels, which has 12 audio cassette and compact disc players with headphones; and diverse audio material that in some cases is accompanied by written material.
  • DVD: Area for the development of individual work with VCD format movies in different genres, aimed at users of different levels.
  • Vocabulary Games: This area allows users to learn and expand their vocabulary through board games.
  • Grammar Support: The area designed for students to solve doubts about a specific topic, according to the thematic content of the English subject.
  • Computer: It has computer equipment for vocabulary practice, grammar, reading comprehension, games and structural exercises, as well as preparation of exams for English language accreditation.

The Self-Learning Center is open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

ACADEMIC COMPUTING CENTER


Academic Computing Center

In the three classrooms of the Academic Computing Center installed at the Actopan High School, classes are taught in the undergraduate and high school educational programs, as well as providing a backup service for internships and research tasks for users.

The computer rooms have a total of 71 Macintosh computers and personal computers, which provide services to students in the five educational programs.

The Computer Center also has a Technical Support area, where the person in charge is in charge of keeping the equipment working properly by performing preventive and corrective maintenance of the equipment, as well as updating the Operating System and security applications.

We have a Reservation System, which allows the user to access the reservation from any computer connected to the Internet through the following e-mail address: http://sistemas.uaeh.edu.mx/dsa/sire/index.php.

The Computer Center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

ORAL TRIAL COURTROOM

GESELL CHAMBER


It is a learning scenario considered as a laboratory for observation and experimentation of behavior, which consists of two spaces divided by a unidirectional mirror that allows to see from one place, what happens in the other place and for this, it is supported by video and audio equipment for recording and subsequent analysis.

Based on the Curricular Plan of the Psychology Educational Program, we seek to carry out through the practices an approach with the student about the psychological development of the personality and in the emotional, cognitive and social areas in their different contexts; to detect and intervene in primary and secondary level, which will allow him/her to intervene in psychological problems and disorders that impact not only in the psychic functioning but also in the social environment.
