BACKGROUND
With the objective of meeting the growing demand for secondary and higher education and having as its mission to educate and train enterprising, responsible and honest professionals, with a solid humanistic, scientific and technological background, who contribute to the integral development of their social and productive environment, with graduates committed to solving regional and national problems, respectful of the environment and with a critical attitude to understand globalization as an opportunity to project their values, knowledge, skills and culture; In the year 2000, the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo began the process of expansion in order to bring education closer to the municipalities and the different regions of our state. On July 17, 2000, the Actopan Campus begins activities, with the Bachelor's Degrees in Law and Psychology; in July 2004, the Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design is incorporated; in 2014, the educational offer of the High School is increased with two new educational programs, the Bachelor's Degree and the Creation and Development of Enterprises, thus seeking to expand the capacity and coverage of the High Schools dependent on the UAEH and undergraduate programs in the region.
Currently, the Graphic Design program is in level I of the Inter-institutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education Evaluation and the Psychology, Law and Business Creation and Development programs are accredited, thus allowing its graduates to be trained in recognized educational programs with a solid academic foundation.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Located in the community of Daxtha in the municipality of Actopan, the Actopan High School has three buildings: the first one consists of: The first building consists of: administration, 3 classrooms, library, language self-learning center, computer center, 4 academic management cubicles, teachers' lounge, psycho-pedagogical attention module, virtual classroom, restrooms and lobby, as well as an integrated telecommunications system unit equipped with voice, data and video networks where intercommunications are managed and derived; The second consists of 16 classrooms, social work, 5 advisors' cubicles, legal attention module, restrooms and lobby, and the third has 20 classrooms, 2 advisors' cubicles, auditorium with capacity for 150 people, restrooms and lobby, as well as a sports court, a Gessell camera, The recent construction of the Oral Trials Room with the most sophisticated equipment for the practice of law students, in which they can develop their skills in a more real courtroom environment, a machine room, ample parking, green areas and firefighting equipment.
The first one has 2 classrooms on the first floor, a multidisciplinary laboratory, a computer laboratory, an office area and restrooms, and 5 classrooms on the first floor. Module B is distributed on the first floor with 4 classrooms, a psychological care area, social work and restrooms, a cafeteria and 3 courts, one for basketball and two for basketball, where the students develop their physical activities.
LINKAGE WITH THE ENVIRONMENT
In May 2015, national and international artists, in collaboration with students and graduates of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH), created 22 murals in the facilities of the High School of Actopan, Hidalgo, as part of the fifth International Image Festival (FINI) 2015. Under the slogan "Social Justice.
Within the facilities of the Actopan High School, the fifth university radio station, Radio UAEH Actopan, began its test transmissions on February 26, 2019.
Currently the four undergraduate programs of this College, participate with a program each, which are transmitted at the following times through the frequency XHPECW 102.1 FM.
