Biography of Dr. Manuel Borbolla Garcia
Born in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, on November 21, 1960. Son of Dr. José Borbolla Patiño and Irma García Guízar. Although he was born in the city of Morelia, Michoacán, he never lived in that state, his whole life was spent in Querétaro.
His father, an anesthesiologist, worked in Queretaro until his death in 1979. His mother, Mrs. Irma, continues to live in Querétaro and has 5 siblings. He has been married to Argelia Ramos Palacios since 1982.
She studied elementary school at the "Constitución de 1917", junior high school at the "Secundaria General Número 1 Constitución de 1917", high school at the "Centro Universitario México" in Mexico City, and the career of Medical Surgeon at the UNAM; later, the specialty of Gynecology and Obstetrics endorsed by the UNAM and performed at the Mexican Institute of Social Security IMMS Gyneco 2 and Gyneco 4.
He has completed courses in Ultrasound from basic to advanced, Laparoscopy from basic to advanced, Colposcopy and basic and advanced Hysteroscopy. To date, 20 hrs. in Robotic Surgery.
In 1987 he finished his specialty and joined the IMMS where he was for 3 years as Obstetrician-Gynecologist in the night shift and simultaneously to the General Hospital as Chief of Teaching of the same, where he created the Annual Course of "Update in Medicine" of the General Hospital. Performing medical conferences of Pediatrics, Gynecology-Obstetrics, General Surgery and Internal Medicine on an annual basis. Academic event of the 25th Anniversary of the General Hospital of Queretaro, being President of the Organizing Committee. Professor, from 1987 to 1989, at the Autonomous University of Queretaro for undergraduate doctors, Professor at the School of Nursing and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In 1988, appointed Deputy Medical Director of the General Hospital, the positions were created for the Specialty of Gynecology and Obstetrics first year residency, being the Professor with endorsement of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico and also the 1st year of the Specialty in General Surgery.
In February 1989, he was appointed General Director of the General Hospital, resigning from this high position in November of the same year, and also from the Undergraduate Internship and Medical Residency positions, to devote himself to Private Medicine.
1987 practicing as a Private Practice Physician, I start my practice as an Obstetrician-Gynecologist giving consultations in the afternoons.
In 1989 the opening of San José Sanatorium began. It is a 20-bed Sanatorium, 3 Operating Rooms, Emergency Room, X-Ray and Laboratory in the center of the City of Queretaro. Where we tried to update the Private Medicine that was practiced in Queretaro, such as the first fetal monitors and the first neonatal ventilators in the State.
Together with his brothers, José Carlos and Enrique, in 1992 he began the construction of the Hospital San José de Querétaro, and operations in 1994, having the first new Magnetic Resonance and Tomograph of last generation in Mexico; being the first Hospital in the Bajío to have them. In addition, Intensive Care areas, 100% equipped operating rooms, 96 consulting rooms and 40 rooms.
Currently the Hospital has 120 beds and all the Specialty areas and equipment possible in a Hospital. Four more hospitals have been created, three in Querétaro and one more in Celaya, Guanajuato.
Academically in addition to the academic degrees already mentioned in 1989. He is a member of the Medical College of Queretaro.
In 1991, Member of the Queretaro Association of Gynecology and Obstetrics.
In 1992 and 1993, Vice President of the Queretaro Association of Gynecology and Obstetrics.
In 1997 Vice President of the National Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics held in Queretaro, multiple courses in my professional practice. Professor of State, Regional, National and International Congresses. Presentation of free papers in different Congresses, President of the National and International Congress of Gynecologic Endoscopy 2018 in the State of Queretaro.
He belongs to the Council of the Mexican Federation of Gynecologic Endoscopy and is President of the Scientific Committee for the Queretaro 2019 National Congress of the Mexican Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics.
He is also a member of the Mexican Council of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the American College of Laparoscopy by the University of Kiel.
He has been General Director of Hospitales San José since 1989.
